Body Count Maximus – an extremely bloody engagement or session, in which many lives were lost
Carcass Boy – A character who has just dies, usually in a particularly humiliating or devastating fashion.

Cardboard Curtain – GM Screen
Casually Depart – when an adventuring party is planning to run like hell due to being obviously
outnumbered. Also known as Tactical Withdrawal and Retrograde Advance
Clanger – Anyone wearing a lot of noisy armor
Dice Grunts – role players, also known as Dice Heads, Hack Jockey
Dice Squirrel – a person who touches, takes and/or uses someone else’s dice. A term of derision
Dicequake – What happens after someone has bumped the playing table
Dip Dice – a player who is acting stupidly, also known as Numb Dice
Don’t Get Yer Dice Bag in a Wad – don’t worry or over react
EP-Moochers – players who will do anything to get easy experience points. A term of derision. Also known as a Point Mooch or Point friendly
Experience Point Leaching Wuss! – a player who deceptively takes experience points that others feel are
rightfully theirs. A term of derision.
Flavor Text – anything that comes out of the GM’s mouth that isn’t immediately useful to the players.
Fringe-Gamer – someone new to gaming, or someone who plays infrequently. Sometimes a term of derision
Glory Hound – a player who tries to take all the glory for an adventure for himself. A term of derision
Goon – characters that seem to be designed strictly for combat
Hack Monger – players who are especially bloodthirsty in their methods of gaming
Hot-to-Plot – GM’s who try to rush characters into the storyline of his adventure.
Like an Anchor with a Dice Bag – a player who slows the party down. A term of derision
Lint-Fer-Brains – a player who fails to pay attention to the game around him and acts in stupid ways,
endangering himself and/or his party. A term of derision.
Map-Monkey – the player chosen to map the group’s progress
No-Want-Ems – treasure items that are less than desirable
One-Hitpoint-Wonders – NPC’s and monsters who can be defeated easily
Orc-Wipe – an extremely derisive term, indicating a player who has invoked the wrath of one or more of
his fellow players. This player has just been compared to an item of personal hygiene used by orcs.
Pencil Death – a character who has died so many times there are holes in his character sheet from all the
erasures and updates made
Pizza-Man Speak – a Player skill (not a character skill). Only one player per group may possess this skill at a time, and one who has this skill may only rid himself of it by passing it on to a newbie. The player who has pizza-man speak is the guy who has to call in any pizza orders and collect the money to pay the pizza dude.
Plot Hammering – GM’s who are extremely heavy handed in ensuring players stay on track with the
adventure he has planned, allowing for little, if any, deviation
Plot Stick – methods a GM uses to keep players from straying from his adventure story line. Also known as Plot Wagon
Rule Stomp(ing) – When a player seems to be constantly, or heavy-handedly, correcting other players’
interpretations of the rules and bringing such supposed infractions to the attention of the GM
Rule Tweakers – GM’s who adjust the rules of Hackmaster to their liking
Rules Lawyering – players who are well versed in the rules, and who use that knowledge to regularly
challenge GM decisions
Screen Grunt – a GM. A derogatory term. Also known as a Screen Monkey
Spell Jockey – a magic-user or other type of spell caster
Spinectomy – an attempt at backstabbing, usually by a high level thief. It usually means the attempt will
be a sure kill
Sympathy friendly – a player who attempts to gain the GM’s sympathy in hopes of gaining favors. A term of derision.
Tossing the Stiff – throwing a dead body into a room to check for traps
Who Put a Burr in His Dice Bag – used when referring to a player who seems to be abnormally irritable
Wuss of Heart – a player who seems to avoid dangerous situations at all cost. A term of derision. Also known as a Coward
Zero Level Trash (Zero Level NPC Trash) – NPCs who are of no interest to them because they are not worth many experience points
