One of the prime architects, arguably (by some) THE architect, of the game we play, whatever version we play, has died today.
Rarely can we point to the primary source of inspiration for one of our pastimes and say "There is the man that started it all." Now, we can no longer do that with this hobby.
Whether you play Basic or 4E, are a rules-lawyer or character actor extraordinaire, we will miss his continued influence on the hobby. His past influences will endure.
Rest in Peace Gary Gygax. You are using the Immortals rules now.

We will remember him fondly and he will live forever in the games played round the world.
And everyone knows when ever a d20 is rolled a Gygax gets his wings.
