Overdrive Arena rules
Scale: 1/43 This works out to be very close to 25mm and “O” scale railroad
Turn sequence: Turns are divided into 5 phases, 1 phase for each available gear in an OA car (although some vehicles may not have all 5 gears – all vehicles have a Max gear value)
Who moves first: During each phase you must move your minimum and may move up to your maximum movement rate. Play proceeds from one vehicle to the next, based on movement rate. If there is a tie, the vehicle moving the fastest (in the highest gear) moves first. If there is still a tie, roll a d6; high roll moves first in the phase. You may move in each phase, starting with the phase that matches your current gear. For example, in 5th gear, you move in all five phases. In third gear, you move only in phases 3, 2 and 1. Any vehicle may shoot at any time during its turn, and at any point in its movement. You may shoot in a movement phase even if you’re not moving in that phase (in other words if you’re in third gear, you can still shoot in the fifth gear phase.)
Who can shoot: You may only shoot with one weapon per vehicle each turn. Vehicle cannot shoot during the first turn of the game.
Phase Sequence: Before you move you must determine what vehicle your gear is in, declare whether you are accelerating, decelerating or stopping. Declare what geart your vehicle is now in before doing anything else.
5th gear phase. 4th gear phase 3rd gear phase etc., etc.
