You arrive at your little camp by Cauldron Lake about an hour after sunrise, greeted by a scowling Ivee. She enjoyed the alone-time but seems a bit worried about you. Blaarg stinks of ale (on top of his normal stink). It is all you can do to flop down on your bedrolls and pass out. When you awake it is about an hour past mid-day and a partly cloudy 82° with a 19mph wind blowing from the SE. You are all famished and thirsty. The thirst is no problem, thanks to Lake Cauldron. And for some of you, the hunger is not an issue either. Except for Xarvok and Erik. Xarvok's remianing food from his excursion package has gone bad, and Erik never had any rations (Ivee had been slipping him some)

Xarvok asks Ivee and Erik if they want to go foraging/hunting after morning chores/prayers.
Xarvok also suggests the party also start getting ready to travel back to civilization later today.

Nobody in the party has the skills necessary to hunt. Erik and Thara are the only ones skilled in foraging for food (4-8 hours each; Erik would need a check, Thara would be automatic) and only enough for themselves. Anyone else foraging would take the same amount of time but the check would be against their Wisdom score alone.

Hmm... How many non-spoiled rations does the party have in total?

Can Ivee "purify food and drink" on my spoiled rations?
If not...
Xarvok: "Robyn, for every one of these you let us eat, I'll buy you two when we get back to civilization. Or would you rather see what I start to drool when I don't get enough to eat?"

Which reminds me; what spells would Xarvok and Erik like to prepare for the day? Xarvok, we can assume you were aware of the spoilage prior to prayer, as you woke up hungry.

Hey, y'know, I realized that last night upon reading the PHB. Maybe I should just buy a copy for my desk at work? It's about the same size as the AMA code books...
Anyway, 3 CLWs and a Purify Food and Drink, then. How much of the food left in my backpack can be purified by my one cubic foot of area (volume, really) of effect?

For an exact amount I shall have to check Goods & Gear when I get home. But it should be fine for the two remaining meal's worth you have left. Do you cast and eat?
