I am preparing to start a Castles & Crusades campaign set in Aihrde.
Most recently the Castles & Crusades game set in The Known World was converted back to Dungeons & Dragons, so as to enjoy the feel of each game system.
If you're untested in playing by post, please post here.
The CK
Current game:
A0: The Rising Knight An adventure for 4-6 1st-level adventurers Setting: Aihrde, Year 1041md Premise: A constable has informed you of a bounty offered for the capture of a raiding gnoll named Gritznak. You find yourselves on the road to Malforten in search of fame, fortune, adventure, treasure and even, incidentally, Gritznak.
New Character Level : 1st Wealth: as rolled
Replacement Character Level due to death : 1st Wealth: as rolled

Count me in!! I'm coming over from the TLG boards aka Gribble Welcome! Please roll your stats as below and send me the details on your character as soon as you create him or her. Also please register as a user here (it makes it easier once we start playing). Dice rolls: Please use the Irony Games Dice server www.irony.com/mailroll.html and send to me at czahnzinger@comcast.net. Please be aware that the Irony dice server allows you to send the roll to both roller and recipient. The dice rolls must be sent directly to me via the dice server to be valid. All other forwarded rolls will have to be re-submitted. Thanks for the interest! Chris

I will be playing a Dwarven Cleric named Othrik created using the rolls I sent you a couple days ago. The Irony server only has an option to roll four and discard the lowest, so I hope that was what you wanted. How do you want me to send you my character, i.e. what format do you want the info in? Can you point me to an example campaign start-up thread? I'll browse some too. I am working up equipment and spell lists right now, should be ready in the next couple of days.
Thanks, Erik

Thanks, Erik Hi Erik, You need to adjust the roll types using the drop down arrows, but no worries, I replied to your email with your corrected stats. An email, .doc, .pdf or whatever else you like is fine for a format. I convert it into a character sheet using Excel and then save it as an html file and post it on our website, making updates as needed. If you go the roleplaying page on our site at www.paintedknights.com/roleplayinggames.html and click some of the game systems, you'll find examples of start-ups (some of the games on that have not started yet.) A description and introduction is all that's really needed, and then I'll set the scene and get us started. I'll create a characters section for intros. Chris

Chris Got it, I just looked again at the dice server. I mistook the "drop lowest" and "drop highest" for either/or type radio button selections. Just realized I can uncheck both. Will do re: getting you my character via email. Will adjust to the new rolls you sent me. Thanks.

Here's the official site: www.trolllord.com/newsite/cnc/index.htmlYou could order the handbook from them (much cheaper than a 3.5 PHB) or see if your FLGS could get it in, or even check Amazon. Let me know what you decide! ;D (it's the best of the simplicity of 1st edition coupled with the smooth game mechanics of 3.5) Chris

Pencil me in for a spot. I will try and get my hands on a copy of the book.
Do I need any other books?
When are you looking to start this campaign?

I was hoping for 4 PC's to start, but if no one else has signed up by the time you're ready, I'll add an NPC so we can get going.

Fair enough, you should have something relatively soon.
