Bec picks up the body of his fallen comrade, throwing her over his shoulder. He bears the weight sadly and follows his companions.

As Casimir opens the door with his free hand, The lights filters in enough to allow Mischa and Newt to see that a large altar sits at the center of this room, flanked by two tall candle stands. The altar is built from what looks like the still living remains of kobolds and derro. Their limbs have been removed and their torsos sewn together to form a crude table. The candle stands are built from still-living kobolds whose bones appear to have been liquefied and then reformed and arranged to force their bodies into a pose suitable to hold candles. The kobolds’ faces and jaws are set to hold on candle, while their arms extend straight up from their torsos to each clutch a candle. Their legs are half as long as normal, as their lower leg bones from two additional limbs extending from their lower torsos to form four stable legs for the stand.
The walls are covered with the still-living skin and organs of other creatures captured and warped . Organs pulse and veins throb.
Behind the altar stands a kobold (you think), although her skin and scales are stark white, giving her the appearance of a pale blotch wearing chainmail armor. Here eyes are closed and she seems to be in a trance or meditating. On her belt is a well-made small mace and a well-made small light crossbow.
The altar and candle holders begin to hop slowly toward you, babbling in a chorus of common and other languages unrecognizable to you, asking for release from their agony.
We are in initiative in the following order: Bowen, Bec, Casimir, Mischa, Newt. Please post your actions for round 1.

((Does Bowen have any rages remaining? If not, he will use an action point to recall it. And if he doesn't have any of those either... well, he is in for some hurt!))
Bowen, seeing the sadistic contents of the room goes limp. He stands staring into space for a heartbeat before his spine stiffens and a fire enters his eyes. He lets out a primal scream, pushing Cas aside, and runs straight at the living alter. He brings his axe down upon it with all of his might.

Cas follows Bowen moving as close as he can get to the freakishly albino-like creature. If he can attack this round, he will use his smite evil power.

Bowen uses an action point to rage (no more class uses remain this day), then makes a double move to the altar, but will have to wait to strike it.
Bec drops Anya and enters the room.
Cas drops Anya’s backpack and hustles into the room, drawing his longsword as he moves.
The altar bumps up against Bowen and the candlestick holders hop around either side to flank him.
Mischa enters the room and fires her bow at the kobold, but her arrow glances off the creature’s chainmail armor and lands on the floor.
The elf orders Scar to attack, and the wolf hustles into the room, threatening the kobold.
Newt hustles into the room.
The kobold opens its eyes. In low hushed tones, you hear strange words coming from just behind the kobold and, as she turns to face her intruders, you see a second face that has sprouted from the back of her head.
I’ll continue on as your actions didn’t complete from the first round. Please let me know if you would like to change them.

Bowen brings his axe down on the altar (5 rolled) striking it for 13 points of damage. He cuts deeply into the thing but it is still moving about.
Bec maintains his readied attack (you may choose another course of action if you like).
Casimir flanks the kobold with Scar and uses his smite evil ability but rolls a 1 and misses the kobold (Cas rolls a 14 to recover so no critical miss).
The altar and candlesticks continue to crowd around Bowen. Mischa notices that the skin and body parts on the wall move slightly when she nears them, as if reaching out to her.
The elf stows her bow and advances, drawing the masterwork quarterstaff.
Scar bits the kobold (20 rolled, 2 fails to confirm) for 6 points of damage and brings her to the ground (12 rolled for trip attack).
The kobold tries to cast a spell defensively but fails and nothing happens. The creature then draws its heavy mace.
Newt maneuvers around and fires his repeating light crossbow at the kobold but misses.
Please post your actions for round 3.

Bowen will continue his attack on the living alter. If it falls, he will turn his attention to the two living candlesticks.

If possible, Cas will use an action point to use smite Evil again and attempt to smite the fallen, evil, two-faced, kobold priestess.
That's a lot of adjectives to describe the bad guy. it's like listening to my wife order coffee at starbucks.

Bowen chops down (5 rolled) and destroys the altar (7 points of damage dealt.)
Casimir uses an action point to smite evil, connects (10 rolled), and deals 7 points of damage.
The candleholders continue to crowd around Bowen, muttering constantly.
Mischa advances and attacks, (16 rolled) and deals 3 points of damage.
Scar continues his attack (8 rolled) and deals 4 points of damage.
Once again, the creature tries to cast a spell defensively and once again, nothing happens. The creature stands, provoking attacks from Casimir, Mischa, and Scar.
Casimir strikes (12 rolled) for 4 points of damage, clobbering the creature.
Mischa bops her (14 rolled) for 2 points.
Scar gets nothing but chain shirt in his mouth (2 rolled).
Newt fires but somehow steps wrong and twists his ankle (1 rolled, 17 failed to recover). Newt’s movement is at half speed and he must roll a DEX check each round (DC 20) or fall prone.
Please post your actions for round 4.

Bowen swings (5 rolled) and deals 12 points of damage, chopping through the candlestick to his left.
Bec maintains his readied action.
Mischa replies to Cas, “No. We risk our own safety in doing so.”
Casimir uses an action point to smite evil again but only hits chainmail (5 rolled).
The remaining candleholder continues to bump ineffectively against Bowen.
Mischa attacks (15 rolled) and also only hits armor.
Scar attacks (15 rolled) and deals 7 points of damage, taking the creature down, bleeding and unconscious.
You each earn 330 XP and gain a point of honor.
What do you all do?

Casimir looks to aid his fellows with their interesting dilemma. "The tables and candle holders seem to be trapped with the tortured souls of past sacrifices or something akin, let us end their suffering!" He sets to the task.
